At Genesis 3:15 speaking to the newfound "rebel" Satan,

Jehovah Himself uttered the first prophetic statement or promise

of Holy Scripture. He stated, for the benefit of all wayward descendants of Adam and Eve who was to be shortly cast out

of the Garden or God's First Kingdom Government

Arrangement upon earth, the following:

“And I shall put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed. He will bruise you in the head and you will bruise him in the heel."

“Therefore Jesus, knowing they were about

to come and seize him to make him king, withdrew again into the mountain all alone.”

Jesus of all people would know exactly what the Davidic promise was as stated in 2 Samuel 7:11-15.

So a curious question surfaces, if Jesus was the promised Davidic heir, then why did he run away from the opportunity of becoming the King of Israel? Yes, why did Jesus turn away from the people when they tried to make him king of Israel? There must have been a good reason.

Remember, the Davidic heir was to rule on earth forever,

not in heaven for limited period of time.
